Currently, designer Alber Elbaz who works for the fashion brand Lanvin, lends his style to the French cosmetic brand Lancôme. Sweet illustrations à la Elbaz embellish Mascara and eye shadow and evoke a spirit of humour and liveliness. The packaging consists of his iconic scribbles – stars, polka dots, hearts and eyes – illustrations that are usually part of the couture collection. As the designer, who was born in Morocco, explains: ‘The real theme running through the collection is eyes’ … and the customer’s eyes literally get to see something exciting.
The folding box that comes with the products, incorporates embossing (see the ribbon) and a gloss coating which make it more special. At the POS, Lancôme has put a lot of effort into presenting the make-up collection in a unique way. The displays are in shape of a big stage and are again endowed with the designer’s scribbles. On top of that, even the sellers become part of the marketing performance as they are equipped with cute accessories.
No doubt, everything fits together perfectly! So the only thing left to say is: Lancôme by Alber Elbaz – let the show begin!
